Hod Anyigba is an Economist and management researcher, with research and consultancy interests in the areas of economics, management, entrepreneurship, innovation and business education. Hod has invaluable academic and industry experience in the European and African contexts.
He has a Ph.D in economics from St. Petersburg University of Management and Economics in Saint .Petersburg, Russia. He also has a Master’s degree in International economics from Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, Russia as well as a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the same University.
Hod is the first African to have completed his doctoral studies at the prestigious St. Petersburg University of Management and Economics. In 2017, Hod represented Ghana at the African Program on Rethinking Development Economics (APORDE) in Johannesburg, South Africa – a platform of economists with pluralist views who aim to advance perspectives on economic development thinking and policymaking on the African continent.
He is a member of the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) – an initiative to support a new generation of new economic thinkers. His recent research involves studies in the areas of the gig economy, corporate entrepreneurial strategy, small business development, and organizational strategy and design.
He is a reviewer for a number of economic and management journals and a member of the Econometric Society - an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics.
Hod is also fellow at the Institute of Chartered Economists of Ghana (FCE) - a professional body in charge of regulating and guiding the practice of economics in the field in Ghana. In industry, Hod has done consultancy works for both national and global organizations such as
the United Nation’s (UN) - International Labour Organization (ILO),International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the European Union (EU), OmniBank -Ghana, Kasapreko (Royal Crown Packaging)-Ghana, the Africa Trade Union Development Network, National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) – Ministry of Business Development – Ghana etc.
Hod is currently the Director of Professional Programs (i.e. in charge of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) and Doctor of Marketing Science (DMS)) at Nobel International Business School (NiBS)– Africa’s premier doctoral school. He also doubles as the Assistant Academic Director at NiBS. He serves on a number of Boards both locally (in Ghana) and internationally.
Hod has over 15 Journal publications in the following reputable journals: e.g. European Journal of Management and Business Economics, The learning organization, Journal of Strategy and Management, Journal of Economics and Management, Journal of European social science journal, and International Journal of Technology Transfer.
